Remoba Introduces Integrated Mobile Productivity Suite on BREW for SMBs with Centralized Admin Control
RemoBiz for Outlook provides secure, wireless access to emails, calendar and contacts using BREW-enabled mobile phones
Santa Clara, Calif. – January 30, 2007 – Remoba, a leading provider of mobile productivity applications, today announced the launch of its RemoBiz™ for Outlook®. Developed for QUALCOMM’s BREW® solution, it enables small and medium businesses (SMBs) to provide employees with wireless access to their email, calendar and contacts directly from BREW-enabled mobile phones. RemoBiz for Outlook provides SMBs with enterprise-level control over their wireless environment while eliminating the need to invest in expensive devices or additional mobile IT support.
According to Forrester Research’s June 2006 report entitled The State Of SMB Network And Telecom Adoption: Business Technographics North America, “Wireless calendaring and email adoption is set to grow for SMBs, with 26 percent rolling out or piloting these services in 2006.” It also reported that “gaining control over wireless environments” was a top priority for SMBs, and “SMBs ranked setting wireless policy and centralizing management of mobile devices as the top two telecom initiatives for 2006.”
RemoBiz solves these issues, while providing a BREW-based, inexpensive smartphone alternative. It incorporates key features to ensure that those in charge maintain a level of control. With advanced administrative features, RemoBiz allows an administrator to manage corporate contacts and groups from the office. Business-only use of the phone is maintained with a lockdown feature that limits calls to contacts stored on employees’ mobile phones. Productivity is increased as employees can schedule meetings, invite meeting attendees and set up a tentative schedule – regardless of location.
